Larder Lake

This part of the region offers some of the most spectacular and dramatic scenery through the forests and hills that were once home to the fur trades and then followed by the mining prospectors. The communities lie just east of Kirkland Lake along provincial Highway 66. It branches off from Highway 11 running east.

Larder Lake is ideally located between Kirkland Lake and the Quebec border. There are great camping and picnic areas, an excellent beach, a 30 slip marina and the best fishing you could imagine. Once a vital gold mining centre, Larder Lake is now a popular outdoors adventure area.
